One of the worlds hardiest bamboos surviving in some of the most exposed areas in Europe.

Fargesia Murielae is known as the Umbrella Bamboo due to its dense mass of arching culms that form the umbrella shape. The culms are slow to spread, eventually forming a stout column base to support its top heavy mass of foliage. Culms emerge dark green in colour but eventually turn to an olive yellow colour with maturity.

This plant is a choice ornamental and can be grown in a variety of situations, but can also be grown in containers due to its tolerance of extreme cold temperatures.

Typical Supplied Height: 0.60m - 1.20m
