The Phyllostachys Aureosulcata 'Aureocaulis' (or f. Aureocaulis) is a beautiful specimen plant due mainly to its attractive culms.

This plant shows off its crooked stems with its bright golden culms. However, if the plant is exposed to cold nights there can be some deep reddening of the culms until they mature. Green striping can also occur adding to the interest of the plant.

This plant survives particularly well here in North East Scotland with its ability to perform well in any position in the garden.
