Best grown in semi-shade, will tolerate some sun
Cold-hardy and well-suited to the Scottish climate, capable of tolerating temperatures down to -18°C to -20°C.
Can be pruned to manage size, thin congestion, or remove dead growth. Pruning is best done in late winter or early spring (before new growth) or for thinning, in late spring/early summer. Cut unwanted canes at ground level with loppers, or trim sides for hedging.
